Privacy policy

What Advisare collects, why, and what happens to it — across this site and the platform at platform.advisare.ai. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are and what this covers

Advisare, Inc. (“Advisare”, “we”) provides a system of record for private-market investment decisions. This policy covers the marketing site at advisare.ai and the Advisare platform at platform.advisare.ai.

If your firm has a signed agreement with us, that agreement governs how we handle your firm’s data wherever it is more specific than this policy.

02

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Demo requests — name, work email, firm, firm type, AUM range, and anything you write in the notes field.
  • Account information — name, work email, role, and notification preferences. Login uses one-time email codes; we never store a password.
  • Customer content — the documents and deal records your firm uploads or creates on the platform: data rooms, CIMs, financial models, memos, and the structured fields extracted from them.

Information from systems you connect

  • Document libraries — if your firm connects SharePoint or Box, we read only the folders you grant, and we never write back.
  • Mailbox and calendar metadata — if you connect a Microsoft account for relationship intelligence, we read recipients and attendees only. We never read message bodies or subject lines.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — which features are used, tied to your user ID, email, role, and firm, so we can support you and improve the product.
  • Server logs — API requests are logged with user context for security and troubleshooting.
  • Cookies — on the platform, only what login sessions require. On advisare.ai, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to measure aggregate traffic; it is not used for advertising, and no data is shared with ad networks.

Information from public sources

During research, the platform gathers business information about companies and the people connected to them — names, titles, business contact details, and affiliations — from public sources and business registries, each recorded with its source. If we hold your business contact information this way and you want it removed, email us.

03

How we use it

To provide and operate the service: ingesting your documents, running research and scoring on your behalf, generating memos and decks, sending the notifications you have asked for, and keeping the audit trail the product exists to keep. Also to secure the service, provide support, and understand how the product is used.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.

04

AI processing

The platform sends content — which may include your deal documents — to our AI providers solely to generate the requested output. Under our agreements with these providers, your content is not used to train their models and is not retained beyond what a single request requires.

Deterministic calculations (scores, sensitivities, financial metrics) run as code on our own infrastructure, not through an AI model.

05

Service providers

These providers process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

06

Security and data residency

Production data is processed and stored in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest; credentials for connected systems are additionally encrypted at the application layer. Each firm’s data is isolated per organization, access is role-based, and API activity is logged.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but security review is a standing part of how we build.

07

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your firm’s account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When your firm leaves, we delete its organization and associated records on request; backup copies age out on their own cycle.

To request deletion — of a firm’s data or your own information — email info@advisare.ai and we will act on it within 30 days.

08

Your rights and how to reach us

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Send any request to info@advisare.ai; we will verify it and respond within the timeline your jurisdiction requires. We will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and note the change on this page. Continued use after a change means the new version applies.
